Darling’s 3-layer face masks are designed much like the surgical masks that help protect patients from germs or bacteria that may be accidentally discharged. The key layer is the meltblown cloth layer that stops liquid particles that are discharged when someone sneezes, coughs or even speaks.
The combination of all three layers in these masks filter approximately 95% of airborne particles. (BFE-95) Most importantly, is the water-resistant characteristics of the material that keep tiny, fluid discharges from your nose, mouth and lungs inside the mask instead of spreading through the air to other people.
As the bacteria and viruses are often populated on these fluid discharge particles, keeping the droplets from landing on public surfaces means keeping the virus from traveling on these particles to public surfaces. Remember, by keeping others safe, you help keep yourself and those around you safe.
